Ulises Padrón Suárez is a philologist by training and a human rights activist. He holds a bachelor of arts from the University of Havana and a diploma in Gender and Development. He collaborates with the independent magazines Tremenda Nota, Q de Cuir, AM: PM, and Hypermedia, among others. In 2015, he created the blog Espiral de Isla, where he writes about Cuban society and culture.
