Lynn Cruz is an actress, writer,
theater director and producer. Bachelor of
Pedagogy at the University of Matanzas (2000) and
Dramatic Actress graduate at the School
Theater Professional (2006).
After five years working in theater in Cuba,
Colombia and Germany, her film debut was in the role
of Barbara in Long Distance (2010). A role
which was critically acclaimed in Cuba and nominated for
the Adolfo Llauradó and Caricato awards. Was casted
to star in Corazón Azul, an experimental film that began filming in 2013 and
premiered in 2021. She also worked on the films La
wall (2006), Próceres (2011), Nobody (2017). For her
role in El Niño (2015), she won the Best Actress Award
at the Cayenne Film Festival, New York. Her role in
Are you dad? (2018) was described by the Miami
Herald as a masterful performance.
In addition, she is a theater director, author of the works
The Return (2011) Enemies of the People (2017),
Patriotism 36-77 (2018) and Room-R (2021).
Since 2013, she has been producing the films by filmmaker Miguel
Coyula. Psyche, Nobody and Blue Heart. in 2020
received the Fund for Impact Producers
documentary film. Her first novel Terminal, received
Mention in the Gaveta Franz Kafka Novel Prize
(2018). She currently works as a teacher
of independent action in collaboration between the
group that directs Teatro Kairós LCAP and Casa Galería
The circle.
