David D Omni is a musician and painter. A self-taught artist, at the age of 16 he abandoned the Cuban education system and began to educate himself outside of the political indoctrination practiced in Cuban schools, including in the Havana neighborhood of Alamar as part of the Omni Zona Franca interdisciplinary project. His music could be called art rock, new age, experimental, or world music, despite strong influence from urban genres such as hip hop, reggae and electronic music.

His first albums The wheel (2009); Tokan Tokao, (2010); To the guachornein to the pipol nao (2011); El Árbol, 2011 and Free Hop (2012) mark an experimental stage with hip hop influence. As of 2013, with his album 360º, he began a more conceptual stage, far from specific musical genres. His next albums are: «Equals», 2014; «Collecting Stories», 2015; «Suaesito», 2015, «Bricklayer A», 2016; «Ánima», 2016 and «Fantasma Cívico», 2017.
