    Celia González is a visual artist and anthropologist who lives and works in Mexico City. She raduated from the San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts and the Higher Institute of Art in Havana. She also holds a Master's degree in Visual Anthropology from FLACSO, Quito, Ecuador.

    She is currently doing doctoral studies in the Department of Social Anthropology of the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. She received a visual arts scholarship from the Botín Foundation, Santander, Spain, 2017-2018, a scholarship from the the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation, and the award for Best Young Artist of the Year, Fundación Farber, 2015.
