    Luis Felipe Rojas
    (San Germán, Holguín, 1971)

    Luis Felipe Rojas studied philology and worked as an independent journalist in Cuba for 10 years. He is a narrator, poet and audiovisual producer, and has published the poetry collections Secretos del monje Louis (2001), Cantos del mal vivir (2005), Animal de alcantarilla (2005), Para dar de comer al perro de pelea (2013) and Máquina para borrar humanidades (2015).

    He co-directed the alternative literature magazine Bifronte, which was censored by the Cuban regime. He has dedicated some of his journalistic work to the subject of human rights, and has taken seminars at Florida International University (FIU) and the Inter-American Press Association (IAPA). He served as director of the Radio Martí program “Contacto Cuba”and also wrote for the Martí Noticias digital site. He is currently a journalist at Voz de América in Washington DC, although he works from Miami. His blog is titled “Cruzar las alambradas.”
