    Luis Dener Hernández González

    Luis Dener Hernández González is a narrator, poet, and rapper, a quasi-influencer and international coordinator of the Demóngeles group. He founded Los Aldeanos in 2003, and the movement that generated around the group. A founder and creator of the Demóngeles group, with which he organized children’s neighborhood festivals, poetry festivals called “Poesía en Campaña,” ecological activities, artistic exhibitions, performances, and poetry workshops for children.

    He is the founder of 50%+1 initiative, Pluriestética, the Renacer Movement, the Friendship Movement, where groups and projects such as Contexto, Cabeza de Piñón, Matraca, Omni, Los Aldeanos, among others, participated. Winner of the Best Intro Award in the first Puños Arriba of 2008, for the intro on the El Atropello de Los Aldeanos album. He was an organizer of the March for Non-Violence on November 6, 2009. As a result of his artistic and political activism, he was expelled from the country by State Security in January 2010, sent to Trinidad and Tobago.

    A year later he returned to Cuba and went into exile in his house. He founded the children’s music project Dreamcatcher. Later he met his future Norwegian wife; he currently lives in Norway. A book of his poetry was published by Editorial Guantanamera. He has a degree in pedagogy and worked for seven years as a primary school teacher.
