    José Raúl Gallego Ramos

    José Raúl Gallego Ramos is a Cuban journalist, professor, and researcher. He earned a master’s in communications from the Universidad de Guadalajara and is a doctoral student in communications at the Universidad Iberoamericana. He researches the relationships between the public, the media and political agendas in Cuba; the ownership structure of the media; and ideological discrimination in Cuban universities. Scientific articles he authored have been published in journals in the fields of social sciences and communications in Latin America and Europe. He currently works as a journalist for the independent Cuban media outlet Inventario and has been a contributor to other unofficial media outlets in the country.
