    Javier L. Mora
    (Bayamo, Cuba, 1983)

    Javier L. Mora is a poet, critic, and translator. He has published the volume Matar al gato ruso y otros ensayos (Letras Cubanas, 2018), and the poetry chapbooks Manejos del ojo (Casa Vacía, 2019) and Ablandar una lengua (Hypermedia, 2020), the second title in his Serie de la Repúblik, which includes Examen de los institutos civiles (Ediciones Unión, 2012) and El Gran Bluff. He compiled and prefaced, in co-authorship with Ángel Pérez, the anthology Long Playing Poetry. Cuba: Generación Años Cero (Casa Vacía, 2017). His version of Edorado Sanguineti’s Wirrwarr is being printed by Ediciones Matanzas, which is also preparing his visual poetry notebook “Exhibiciones.” His texts and works appear in various publications in Cuba and abroad, and have been translated into several languages. He is a member of the KTP-3 cultural recycling project. He resides/exists/insists in the city of Holguín.
