Osmel Almaguer Delgado
(Havana, Cuba, 1979)
Osmel Almaguer Delgado is a poet and journalist. He published the books La Pendiente (Ediciones Ávila, 2013) and Creatura (Editorial Letras Cubanas, 2015, and Ediciones Samarcanda, Sevilla, 2017). He won the Pinos Nuevos Poetry Prize in 2015. His poems appear in magazines and anthologies in several countries. He organized the Grado cero space in 2013, a cycle dedicated to transgender literature and, currently, the Coliseo Poético, a biennial poetry reading contest. As a journalist, he has more than 10 years of experience in various independent media such as Diario de Cuba, Cubanet, and En Caliente Prensa Libre.
