    Mujercitos Magazine

    The artistic collective Mujercitos was established in Havana in mid-2020. Mujercitos may have writers, but it is not literature. Mujercitos may publish on social media, but it is not a mechanism for communication. Mujercitos is Mujercitos. Mujercitos uses visual, textual, and paratextual writing to express “things we keep quiet.” It uses performativity to turn words into gestures and gestures into gunshots to kill dead time. In Mujercitos, words and images are unique pieces, inseparable, unbearable. Vomiting is its means of expression. Vomit is freedom.
