Isbel González González
(Guayos, Cuba 1976)
Isbel González González is a poet, narrator and essayist. She is a member of the UNEAC and the Sociedad de Escritores Latinoamericanos y Europeos (SELAE) and the New Jersey Writers Guild. Among many, many other prizes (see Spanish version of bio for full list), she received the Casatintas Poetry Prize in 2006; first prize in the national poetry contest Batalla de mal tiempo in 2005; winner of the Mono-Rosa national poetry prize in 2006; winner of the children’s literature prize from the city of Sancti Spíritus in 2006; finalist in the La lectora impaciente Spanish poetry competition in 2006.
