    Iris Ruiz
    (Havana Cuba,1980)

    Iris Ruiz is an actress and human rights activist. She has taught acting classes, theater directing and creation methodology at the Eduardo García Delgado School of Art Instructors, at the National School of Art, at the Enrique José Varona Higher Institute of Pedagogical Sciences and the Higher Institute of Art. She has worked as an advisor for musical shows for the Sol / Melia Hotels chain in Varadero and as an actress she has ventured into theater, radio and cinema. Since 2005, she has been tied to the Omni Zona Franca group, collaborating in the Poesía Sin Fin festivals. She has developed creative work with community children’s and youth groups in Alamar, along with her work as an activist for the children’s rights. She participated in the organization of the #00 Havana Biennial in 2018, and she is a member of the board of directors of the San Isidro Movement. She participated in the campaigns #NOALDECRETO349, #LaBanderaEsDeToos and #ESTAMOSCONECTADOS. From 2018 to date she has been carrying out a project for the institutionalization of independent civil society in Cuba and currently she is the regional.

    Amaury Pacheco Del Monte
    (Matanzas, 1969)

    Amaury Pacheco Del Monte is a poet, performer, sculptor, audiovisual artist, human rights activist in the area of cultural and artistic rights. Founder and director of the Omni Zona Franca group (1997–2014) of artistic avant-garde and socio-community projection. Creator and director of the Poesía Sin FIn Festival (1998–2017). Member of the board of directors of the San Isidro Movement (2018 to date). He has participated in the campaigns #NOALDECRETO349, #LaBanderaEsDeTodos and #WeAreConectados linking poetic performance with the groups and projects of the Independent Civil Society to develop a method of empowerment and social literacy through the arts and active poetry through Poéticas Operativas (Operative Poetics). In 2019 he was nominated for the Martín Ennals 2020 International Human Rights Award for his work of sustaining the national dialogue as a method of transformation and impulse towards democracy in Cuba, through art and culture, for more than twenty years.
