    Demis Menéndez Sánchez
    (Havana Cuba, 1980)

    Demis Menéndez Sánchez lives in São Paulo, Brasil. He is a writer and screenwriter, an arts educator and workshop leader focused on childhood and adolescence. He published the books ¿Como le crecen los senos a las niñas? (Editorial Letras Cubanas, Cuba, 2004), El niño puede (Editorial Unicornio, Havana, 2006) and Gizamundo (Editora Peirópolis, São Paulo, 2012). He is involved in the literary creation project for adolescents, Nossas histórias, seus pensamentos (Editora Espaço-Idea Sao Paulo). He is part of the Latin American culture collective Sarau das Américas. In Brazil he has worked as a translator, interpreter, bookseller, workshop leader, and film club leader.
