Andrés Mir
(Fernando de Jesús Salcines Sin, Moscow, 1966)
Andrés Mir is a poet and journalist, and author of the poetry collections De la nostalgia y la torpeza (Editorial Abril, 1993), Los de antes me servían bien (Editorial Letras Cubanas, 2000) and Sobre la naturaleza de los mortales (2004). From 1996 to 2010 he worked in the Cuban cultural magazines Revolución y Cultura and El Caimán Barbudo as a designer and artistic director. He founded and led the digital cultural magazine Esquife, dedicated to promoting emerging art in Cuba, for 10 years. He currently resides in Russia and is a correspondent for EFE.
