    Bios:


    Modesto (Kiko) Arocha/ Alexandria Library Publishing Press

    He was born in Havana, Cuba. Electronic Engineer and PhD in Technical Sciences. Came to United States in 1995 and decided to dedicate himself to translating and publishing websites and books, for which he founded the Alexandria Library publishing house in Miami. He is the author of the bestseller Jokes of Cuba, an anthology of popular jokes against communism that he compiled on the island, which was expanded reissue under the title Down with who you know and in English under the title Laughing under Castro: A 50-year revolution? You must be kidding! He resides in Miami, where he works as editor and director of Alexandria Library.


    Luis de la Paz/ Editorial El Ateje

    (Havana, 1956). Narrator, poet, playwright and journalist based in Miami. is president of the PEN Club of Cuban Writers in Exile. He has received the Museo Essay Award Cubano, the Lydia Cabrera Prize for Journalism and an Accesit to the Luys Poetry Prize Santamarina-City of Cieza, Spain. His most recent books are Por las paredes (stories) and Around the theater in Miami, a compilation of his extensive work as a journalist and reviewer culture for two decades (1996-2013) for Diario las Américas. He resides in Miami, where directs Editorial El Ateje.


    Pablo Socorro/ Lunetra
    (Havana, 1951). He is a writer and journalist. He worked 20 years in the Cuban press and 22 as US sports editor at Agence France-Presse (AFP) until his retirement in 2017. He is author of seven books, among them Coming out of the Closet: Chronicles to laugh and think, The last one who turn off El Morro, Las Miercolinas de Pablo and Hablar en cubano. He was a finalist in 2017 for the Award of Poetry Luigi Pirandello (Italy) and obtained a mention in the III Marine Letters Short Story Contest (Argentina). He is executive director and president of Editorial Lunetra.
