    Bio:

    Humberto López y Guerra, Saturn Förlag.

    (Matanzas, Cuba, 1942). Swedish novelist, journalist and film director born in Cuba with a long and distinguished career as a filmmaker. Student at the School of Cinematography from Bablesberg, Germany, has directed more than 20 documentaries and television series, including the internationally acclaimed Federico García Lorca: Murder in Granada (1980); Suburban (1978), winner of the Prix Italia; The Long Sentence (1981), nominated for an Emmy; The Cuba of Castro; and Ondskans år (The Evil Years), a three-part film about Nazism in Sweden during the Second World War, winner of the award for Best Series on the television network Scandinavian television at the 1989 Nordvision Awards; among many others. He is the author of the spy novels The Traitor of Prague (Verbum, 2012), Spy Triangle (Verbum, 2016) and Den ofrivillige spionen (Saturn Förlag/Vulkan Förlag, 2018). Since 2018 he has directed the Saturn publishing house Förlag in Stockholm, Sweden.

    Fabio Murrieta, Advana Vieja.

    (Pinar del Río, Cuba, 1970). Essayist, critic, researcher and editor. Graduate in Letters from the University of Havana, he studied for a Doctorate at the University of Cádiz. In Cuba He worked as an editor and specialist in Cultural Studies at the Alejo Carpentier foundations, Pablo Milanés and Loynaz Brothers. As part of his work, he has published articles, criticism and essay in various national and international newspapers and magazines. He has also prologued numerous books and has given courses and conferences at universities and cultural centers in several countries. Among his books are La Esperanza en Pailock (Cuban Letters, 1994), El love of the city (Alfaguara, 1996) and With Cuba in the distance (Hispano Cubana, 2002). Is Specialist in Multimedia Creation and Technological Expert in Marketing and Communication. He has resided in Spain since 1997, where he directs the publishing houses Advana Vieja and Letra Capital. The Advana Vieja publishing house is celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year.

    Amir Valle, Iliada Ediciones.

    (Cuba, 1967). Writer, essayist, literary critic and journalist. The success of his novel series black film “The Descent to Hell,” about life in Central Havana, composed of Las Puertas of the night (2001), If Christ undresses you (2002), Between fear and shadows (2003), Últimas news from hell (2004), Sanctuary of shadows (2006) and Long nights with Flavia (2008), le gained international recognition and praise from writers such as Augusto Roa Bastos, Manuel Vázquez Montalbán, and the Nobel Prize winners in Literature Gabriel García Márquez, Herta Müller and Mario Vargas Llosa. His book Jineteras, published by Planeta, won the International Award Rodolfo Walsh 2007, for the best non-fiction work in the Spanish language published in 2006. His historical novel The Words and the Dead (Seix Barral, 2006) was winner of the Prize Mario Vargas Llosa Novel International of that same year. His most recent books are Under the skin of man (Aguilar, 2013) and Never let them see you cry (Grijalbo, 2015). resides in Berlin, from where he directs OtroLunes (Revista Hispanoamericana de Cultura) and Iliada Editions (founded in 1968 as Ilion Verlag).
