    Synopsis:

    At today's meeting, Professor Armando Chaguaceda will speak to us about the connections between authoritarianism and globalization.


    Bio:

    Armando Chaguaceda Noriega: Graduate in Education (Higher Pedagogical Institute, Havana, 2000) and in History (University of Havana, 2006). Master in Political Science (University of Havana, 2004) and Doctor in History and Regional Studies (Universidad Veracruzana, 2012). Researcher in Government and Political Analysis AC. He has been a professor at the Higher Pedagogical Institute and the University of Havana (2001-2008). Since 2009 he has been a teacher at El Colegio de Veracruz, the Universidad Veracruzana, the Universidad Iberoamericana and the University of Guanajuato. He has been Visiting Professor at the Polytechnic University of Nicaragua (2010), the Central University of Venezuela (2011), the University of Girona (2018), the Sorbona la Nueva University (2019-2020). Member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) of the National Council of Science and Technology (Mexico), Level 1 (since 2013). He has specialized in the study of democratization and dedemocratization processes as well as the state-civil society relationship in Latin America and Russia. He is the compiler and co-author of six books and the author of around thirty academic articles on the aforementioned topics.
