    In this meeting, the Venezuelan political scientist Maria Isabel Puerta will bring us closer to the characteristics of competitive authoritarianisms.


    Biografía:

    María Isabel Puerta Riera: She currently works as an adjunct professor of Political Science at Valencia College, Florida, United States. She is a researcher at GAPAC and researches issues around Sharp Power in Latin America and the effects of authoritarianism and illiberalism on exiled communities. She currently serves as president of the Venezuelan Studies Section of LASA.
